I have built A LOT of different custom engine mounts. This is one of my favorite parts of the build. In the case of this one I almost gave up.
The main issue was on the drivers side the steering box was hitting the engine when centered in the car. Also there was zero room for an exhaust manifold (well to dump back at least).
The solution was to trim some area off the block itself and make a very odd mounting plate.
The exhaust solution was to loop it around the front of the engine.
Check it out below...or just go to the bottom and dig into the pictures.
Engine/trans resting on the subframe
Steering box hits block....
Cut upper mounting points off!!!!!
Way goofy engine mount plate.
Drivers side mount tacked (ugly...)
Passenger side mount a bit easier.
Mounts supporting the engine!!
