The bavaria came with a side loader differential . That works fine with the stock m30 but there are not many ratio choices and finding an LSD is almost impossible.

Amazingly the e28 rear subframe and suspension will bolt right up. So this gives you many more diff options. In this case a 3.25 LSD was chosen. With the double over drive of the T56 you can cruise at 1600rpm at 80rpm.

While we were in there we added coil overs to the front and rebuilt all the brakes.

Again with the lack of space on the drivers side we needed to ditch the brake booster so we went to a smaller master cylinder from an E21 to help with pedal feel. There might be more travel but the pressure needed is greatly reduced.
