A couple years ago, Jake invested in and built a CNC plasma table. Our capabilities skyrocketed, in turn.
It's not that we couldn't do things before, but the quality and complexity of what we were doing really benefited.
The spare wheel well, and the pedal box surround were cut out with the plasma. Drop a picture into CAD, draw the new part, and cut it.
The pedal box needed a small pie cut and some messaging in order to get the proper fit. The plasma sure made the job easier, and oh so much quicker.
Take reference pic, with scale.
Trunk patch dropped into QCAD.
In place and ready to weld.
Left extra for bend tolerances.
Relief cuts to make bends.
Needs tweaking, but not bad.
