The shell has been hauled off to the paint booth and is getting the last touches before paint. Prep is where the paint job is made. If there are flaws before it's sprayed, you just end up with shiny flaws when you're done.
Fiberglass is skimmed and sanded over any uneven spots. Micro dents were pulled. The roof, although not pictured, will need LOTS of attention. And the hood. There is little to no support for the flat areas of the car. The roof looked like a dance party happened on it. I'm talking a 3 inch deep dent that had a circumference of more than two feet.
Next time you read about this car, it will have new paint on it. Stay tuned!
